Pat Reddington is the President and founder of Hydra Shield Basement Services. Pat has been in the waterproofing industry since 1990. Pat started Hydra Shield in 1993 to fill a need in the home improvement industry. His vision was to have a single entity that specializes in all aspects of foundation waterproofing, structural repair as well as antimicrobial services and total home health. Pat is credited with several pioneering waterproofing methods and holds several related patents.



Dr. Brian Lu, Micologist. Dr. Brian is a partner and certified hygienist for Hydra Shield Basement Services. Dr. Brian is the inventor of several cutting edge mold testing systems as well as the driving force behind several proprietary antimicrobial treatment systems and strategies. Brian is extremely well respected in the mold treatment industry.

Alan Kluge is Vice President of Marketing for Hydra Shield Basement Services. Al is the creative mind behind Hydra Shields radio and television ads. He is the man that invented "HYDRA MAN" the waterproofing super hero.


Bill Mallett is a full time home inspector for Hydra Shield. Bill has 20 years experience with waterproofing foundation repair and mold treatment. Bill is a local volunteer fireman and part time hazardous material clean up coordinator with the state of New Jersey. Bill has been awarded a commendation for bravery and credited with saving many lives. We are proud of Bill and have had him on our staff for over 10 years.

Paul Thornton is a Hydrogeologist and civil engineer. Paul has served this country in the Army Corp of Engineers and has worked on projects in many different countries. Paul was one of the many engineers who designed the water system in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Paul helped design the drainage system in the famous Cheyenne mountain complex used by NORAD and the SAC of the United States Air Force.
